I am a new member to this group and I recently found out that I am allergic to cats and dogs. Of which I have 2 cats and 3 dogs. For me, getting rid of them is not an option as I made a lifetime commitment to them.

How allergic are you? Does the test come back as a 2 or a 5?

This is very hard for you. I would try to keep the pets out of your bedroom (yes, I know very difficult, but just read some advanced cases of allergies, then make your choice): make it easy to dust and clean, and run a high quality air cleaner in it whenever your windows have to be closed. That should help quite a bit. Good luck.
