My head has been throbbing for the last two weeks. I have tried everything and I've actually gotten to the point of having to write down what pills I'm taking so I don't OD on advil.
Here is my list of meds and tricks:
3 air cleaners
Nasonex
xyzal
singulair
Large amounts of advil
Sinus rinse 3 times a day
tylenol and sometimes a vicodin.
I've had sinus surgery twice and I still get these awful headaches. My biggest complaint would be my treatment from my Dr. They act like allergies are a mild inconvenience and you should be able to deal with it.
If allergies were a mild problem then he wouldn't have a job. They can ruin your life or quality of it.
I feel like Felix from the odd couple.

" I feel like I got punched in the face or something all the time. I had like 24 "sinus infections" in a two year period come to find out its TMJ & teeth grinding. Sometimes my jaw bothers me but mostly I can really feel the pain above my eyes and nose so that is why I kept getting misdiagnosed. If nothing else is helping besides pain killers look into an issue with your bite. Allergists literally only know how to treat someone with their sprays and antihistamines.....they never look into things farther. "

" I had never been sick till age 28. I mean never! I started having jaw and ear pain and they told me it was TMJ. I lived with it for two years and when I was pregnant I kept losing weight so my ob sent me to have a cat scan. I had a cyst that encompased my right maxillary sinus. I had surgury and had no problems for alost 7 years.
Here is were it gets strange, my 14 year old has the same jaw issue and allergies. I took her in for a cat scan and she has a cyst in her maxillary and sinus disease. At 14??
Have you had a cat scan recently? Jaw pain and sinus infections would make me think sinus disease or a cyst. It's not a fun surgery but I was pain free for 7 years. I ended up having the surgery again a few years back but it didn't really help much this time. I live in a rain forest and if it wasn't for my children, I would move in a second.
I can also suggest the neilmed sinus rinse. It really is the only thing that helps at the time of infection.
Thanks for your reply and I hope you feel better! "
