ive been on zyrtec d for YEARSSSSS.

my allergies still bother me but thats from the weather change

Hi I take zyrtec I wouldnt exactly say we can get hooked on zyrtec.I tried everything else my doctor prescribed some of the side effects were very bad.
Zyrtec works good for me so as long as it works I will continue to use it.Good luck to everyone.

Has anyone tried the saline rinses? These work like a charm for me. I heard most sinus infections are fungal so the salt makes it hard for it to survive.

I use Zyrtec every day.
It's one of the few allergy meds that I can take because I'm allergic to corn (many meds contain corn starch).

I do saline rinses with a netti pot several times a week as well.

This is the first year I feel as if I ahve really gotten my allergies under control. I use flonase and take zyrtec. However, I have always found I am more congested first thign in the monring so I take my 24 hour zyrtec right before bed..thay way I am all set to start the day.

I've been using Zyrtec for years and it works. Right now, allergies are at full steam, and it's not working so swell, but when the pollens and ragweed and such go down, it'll be better.

I tried the new prescription Xyzal, and it didn't help. Zyrtec was better for me.

I use the Neil-Med Sinus Rinse kit! It works well, if I use it! I'm too congested right now to use it, so I'm using saline spray to kinda flush my nose until the swelling goes down.

In fact, I am going to my Mdoc tomorrow to get a steroid shot to tame down the swelling before I get a Sinus Infection!

I feel really hyper yet sleepy, basically irritable, the first couple days of taking zyrtec the night before. I think I'll cut it to half a pill

Is Zyrtec a time released pill? I am not sure? I think some doasges might be and some might not be? Anyone know? If it is time released it is not a good idea to cut them in half...too much of the medication could be dumped into your system all at once. If it helps, I was told that your body will adjust to any side effect after you have used it for a bit.
