I did a lot of research over these few days on MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity)and from what I am reading I have all the interactions that that is shown on there as far as chemicals and such. I found out that they have a doctor here that does see patients about it but is not in my network she is one that you have to make the claim yourself on your insuranace it is not covered anyway so I thought I hit a wall, (her 1st visit alone is $420.00 and I can't afford that) then I found another doctor in Belle chasse la and it is kind of far from me in louisiana but I will go as far as I can as long it is covered on my insurance. I have to find relief. I looked on the internet for information on this doctor but I can't find much out. I guess I will when I go there and see him. My daughter is coming with me that helps me a lot. She has seen first hand what it does to me.
To the present today, when I went to the emergency clinic on saturday they gave me predisone and I will say this: it has helped a lot. Its opened my sinuses up and my sleeping has improved , I have been to so many doctors telling them my symptoms and no on listens to me or I feel they don't, I feel like they just have that pad ready to make rx's. Find the problem. One sent me to a sleep clinic and claimed I have sleep apena when in reality it is my chemcial sensitivity that is doing it all. It can mimic so much. Like I said if someone is reading this and has the same issues like I have go read up on this and you will see. Time will tell and I will keep all of you posted. You need to find an Occupational and Environmental Specialist. Don't expect too much from the doctors, to date the only sure fire treatment is AVOIDANCE of triggers. There is alot of info on MCS in the Chronic Fatigue Group, and the Environmental Illness/Biotoxin Disease group. You'll have to scroll down for some of the posts. I have many friends on DS who have MCS. I have it. It is horrible, I know. If you decide to apply for any Disability benefits, get a lawyer, you'll need one. Good luck!
