Hi I am new to the group. I have for years suffered with allergic reactions to several things. Potpourri and strong perfumes top the list. A few more are:
ligustrums, any flowering plant, basically anything that would throw off a strong scent perfume wise. Does anyone have any suggestions here?
I am from Louisiana and I am 48 was raised 2 blocks from Exxon plant. My brother had sinus surgey years ago but we do not speak so I cannot ask him where he went but he had the same issues. I do not know who to ask in his place.
My old doctor past away years ago and I have been to doctors but cannot find a good one. All they want to do is write rx's. I just want to find one that will find something that will work.
My meds are" Nasonex, Allerga, Astelin, zyrtec

I just had a bad reaction because someone decided to use incense at work and guess what when I confronted them they said " I was playing" I should bring them my doctors bill from yesterday $100.00
Thanks

" Those are meds that will help, everyone is different and after the recommended amount of time to see if they will help, if they don't then let your doctor know, they will either try something else or refer you to a dermatologist. It is a hit and miss because everyone is different. Patience. "

" It sounds like you have multiple chemical sensitivity. If you have no relief from the meds. You are on and do not like prescriptions you should find a naturopathic/ homeopathic doctor. If you suffer from symptoms every day you may be having food/ environmental allergies, a regular doctor doesn’t test for sensitivities. They are like antibody tests, look up the ALCAT test online just to get an idea. They can be expensive but if you are having a sensitivity and then avoid what you are allergic to it can greatly improve your quality of life. Plus you don’t have to do them all at once they have like 10 food preservatives and 10 environmental allergies just to start off with. I think you should have a serious talk with your co workers and explain it to them like if they were allergic to cats and you brought in a cat it wouldn’t be funny and every allergic reaction can be very serious even if its just to incense.
