I guess it started a few days ago. I have been constantly itching. It changes areas. Sometimes its my chest up by my collar bones, my rib area, my back, my arms, my thighs and legs. I have a spot on my thigh that I have scrached so hard i am now bruised and I also have the same thing on my shin. I did just have the flu last week, but im not on any new medications. Someone did ask if I could be allergic to my laundry detergent but idk. All I know is this is driving me crazy and I dont like how I have bruises showing up. Anyone every heard or experienced anything like this?

Itching is such a mystery. Try going on WebMD.com and look for itching.
Could be anything. Could it be shingles? Have you ever had chicken pox? I get hives and itching from foods/food allergies.

could be a side effect of 1 or more of your med's. Advair has a side effect of itching

I had severe itching for a long time. I suggest getting an x-ray. For me it turned out to be Hodgkin's disease which sounds scary but actually it is very treatable. Itching is difficult because it can be anything but an x-ray can help.

I discussed itching and dry nose and miserable feeling from the itching and the rhinitis. He prescribed fexfenadine Hydrochloride 180mg 1 x daily. I felt instant relief the 1st day I took the tablet!!

Hi, sorry about the itcing it can be maddening. But until you do see a doctor stop scratching . It just makes it worse and could lead to infection. It is hard not to scratch an itch I know. I get hives from drug and food allergies. Also I have psoriasis which can itch terribly. My itch relief attempts include an ice cube on the spot, a cool shower, and giving every article of bedding and clothing an extra rinse to be sure all soap is out of it. Hope you find cause and remedy soon. I am so sorry you have it. Also in hot weather persperation can cause itching. The bruises need looking at. Good luck.

ggrr.. itching was my companion for many weeks this summer.. it woke me up and I had to take lots of antihistamines to help sleep. I never know what actually triggers the onset.. stress, fatigue.. both, but one thing is always a problem with the others present and that is when I have to do any cleaning.. I have such a terrible time with cleaning products.. I dont have strength to scrub, so the natural ones dont seem to cut thru the messes for me. I had 3 different rashes at one time this round.. I took antibiotics for the one on my face.. and 2 different kinds of cream for the others.. I think the Antibiotics triggered the psorisisis on my forhead.. it itches and burns... nothing seems to help clear it up.. and my arms and hands still itch even after a month of meds.. I am bummed out about it.. but hopefully mine will stop soon..
I havent changed soaps, shampoos or detergents in ages... Who knows?
