Discussion:
Avodart and PSA

I have a 100cc+ prostate (age 53). I also have a very large median lobe. PSA scores have been wild over the last 5 years and two biopsies have been done both negative.

PSA went from 3.5 to 6.1 from 2006 to 2009. Went on Avodart in 6/09. Took almost a year before scores came down. Last May (2011) I hit 3.8 and now in Oct 11 I am back to 4.05........

So, with Avodart does the PSA find a new level and just stay there or does it bounce around whatever the new baseline is?? I know my avodart experience is pretty unusual. Any others have anything similar???

Thanks!
