" hi hun and welcome to the group

many women have different symptoms of endo. for me i have anyways bled heavy and had extrememly painful periods since the age of 10. some other symptoms of endo include:

painful urination
painful sex(during,after or both)
painful periods/pelvic pain
nausea
leg/groin pain
digestive/intestional problems
fatigue
low back pain
also some women dont have ANY pain and still have endo.

talk with your doctor first before making any decision and if he/she thinks a lap is best for you take it b/c the longer you wait to worse endo can become.

btw what are your symptoms to make you think you have endo?

anyways enjoy your time on london and if you have anymore question im here and so are the other girls

good luck
sabrina "

" Hi hun. Sabby has given a good overview of common symptoms of endo. There are many more also....
Heavy bleeding can be a sign (I personally have this, I feel your pain there!) I am hesitant to give advice as it greatly depends on a diagnosis. In one way I hope you do not have this disease, yet I would love for you to get some answers!!
If you do have endo, this is a greatly supportive site with a lot of personal experience and advice. If you are booking in for a laparoscopy, I have a TONNE of advice for you :)
Also, there are different treatments (hormonal and surgical) to treat the heavy bleeding of endo, and I would be happy to discuss these with you! Let us know how the appointment goes, it is so daunting but it really is the best thing to do as you need some answers. It is normal to be nervous, we all were. And it is normal to be nervous after every lap, every treatment and every change in your condition!! You are not alone there hun xx "

" sabby09 is great, she welcomes everyone! had to get that out there. you may very well have endometriosis, but dont worry- one step at a time. good news, your young and if you do have endo it is probably managable. start doing google searches and reading the articles recommended thru this site. if you read them and keep saying-AHA! You are identifying with the syamptoms you more than likely are "one-of-us". Your dr will do a pap and sometimes a CA125 can let you know if there is any activity in the ovaries. A sonogram can detect ovarian cysts which can also be a source of heavy bleeding and pain(look up PCOS). After the initial blood work, your dr will likely recommend lo-estrogan birth control therapy. Its excessive/ or certain types of estrogan production that aggravate cysts(PCOS) and/or endometriosis. ignorance is your greatest enemy. this is a great site and an excellent resource for you. good luck.
