I was diagnosed with endometriosis last July after laparoscopic surgery. Since then I've continued to be in excruciating pain. My doctor only left me with one other option...another sugery. He gave me tramadol for the pain but I reacted really bad to it and when I notified him he told me to just take tylenol....yeah right! So two weeks ago I went to my family doctor desperate for some other way to alleviate the pain and she put my oxycodone..well 28 pills of it. It was absolutely wonderful..there was almost no pain at all, I could do almost everything again..including standing in the kitchen for two hours to make homemade meatballs. Well that all ended because the pills ran out and she said to just go back to my family doctor and have surgery again. WTF?! I dont' know why doctors insist that I waste my life away sitting in the house in pain all day. Is anyone else in the same position or do you know of any doctors that support using pain medicine. I had never taken narcotic pain killers until just now and I don't understand why doctors don't consider putting more women with endometriosis on them.
