my doctor has suggested it but im un sure weather or not i sould do it i have tryed the nuva ring with no success at all my body rejected it. do they have to put you out to get it out if it doesnt work how long is the healing time and what are the side affects

im going to my docs appointemnt today and they might put it in today. im hoping the inseration pain isnt bad. i heard it feels like labor pains or really horrible period pains. if you do get it inserted take some pain meds before an hour before to help with pain, they also can put numbing meds inside you to help as well. good luck with your mirena and if you get yours before mine will you tell me how it went? sabrina

I just had Mirena done about 5 days ago, and cramped pretty bad for the 1st 3-4 days on and off. Make sure before you do it to take a good painkiller and have some1else drive you there... LOL! It may or may not be as bad for you as others, but make sure you've explored all your options thoroughly.
Honestly, with the cramping i've had, it's like labor/bad cramps. It's no picnic, but it's worth it to me to experience a few days of this compared to the years of endo pain I did have. Whatever your choice, I support ya! ~C.C.
