I have no health insurance... I know I probably need to get a laparoscopy done, but I can't afford it.. I'm also quite terrified. I'm currently trying an oral contraceptive called Apri, tricyclicly, but I feel like a complete bitch on it thus far. I'm pretty concerned.. I've had quite excruciating pain for years, and it seems to be just getting worse.. I'm so fed up, and beginning to just truly hate my body. I'm tired of bloating, and pain.... what ever can I do??? I do want kids someday, and have always had a fear that I would become infertile due to Birth control, or this.. My mom had to have emergency surgery when she was my age for ovarian cysts (which they have found with me as well)... I'm so scared I won't be able to afford care if I desperately need it. I'm getting ready to go to college in the fall!!

omg im in the same exact boat as you. im 18 i have insurance but they cut all ob/gyn visits so i cant see any ob/gyn in my state. also im getting ready to go to college this fall as well and im in need of another surgery. im terrifed.i just got my birth control today so im hoping it works. anyways you can ask to finance your doc visits and surgery. just ask about it or call and see if you can. im pretty sure doctors offer that. good luck and i hope you get the surgery you need
