Hi,
I've suddenly been given a surgery date much earlier than expected. So, if I do have the surgery on the 22nd of July(that is if the anaesthetist doesn't run a mile when they go through my history), I was wondering when it would be safe to fly? I have a wedding I would like to go to on the 22nd of August so hope to fly there just shy of a month after the lap date. The flight is not long, but what are the risks? When is it safe to fly? Hey girl! I flew one day after having a lap. It was only a 45 minute flight . I don't feel like it really had an effect on my body right after having surgery. Be careful not to schlep around heavy luggage. Have a safe trip and good luck with your lap.

I went back to work after 4 weeks and as long as I wasn't lifting anything, I was perfectly fine. I am sure it is ok, but your doctor can advise you before the surgery.
