" I can say it lessened my cramping. That is all I can say positive. The side effects were severe (hot flashes, tired, awful mood swings, depression to feeling suicidal, weight gain, NO sex drive, forgetful to the point of not being able formulate sentences, greasy hair and skin, and insomnia) I chose not to do the 2nd 3 month shot. I feel better now with extended BC, but I firmly believe that the lupron was able to bring the remaining endo under control. Despite how miserable I was, I would do it again for the pain relief. Most people are not as severe in their side effects as me. I say try it, but know that things may be really bad for a few months. But the relief will be worth it, and you may be able to live a normal life and have kids with lupron. Also, you must exercise as much as possible to stay sane and not gain alot of weight, I also started flaxseed oil for hot flashes and the hormone replacement they prescribe with the lupron. Good Luck. "

" I had a fairly possitive experience. It was the best I had felt ever...for the first shot round. Not so much the second shot. BUT I beieve that to more be frm the add back therapy I took to combat the sife effects. my side effects weren't severe...maybe moderate...but the add back has estrogen in it...and that just added fuel to my endo. So if you can muddle thru any side effects without the add back...i'd try it. If you can't then for sure do it. I did gain weight as well as kwink...exercise is a must...to combat that but also just to balance some of the other feelings as she said. I already suffered clinical depression and was medicated for that so that part wasn't bad for me. But the lurpon was good for me...short term. I am having some pain issues now that I am starting to wonder if they are long term side effects to that...but I have to say, those few months of feeling so wonderful and doing all the things I once loved to do....was probably well worth the issues now. " I had an extremely positive exp with lupron! i was not able to function before i started lupron, and it really helped to give me my life back... no it didnt take all the pain away completely but it did help a lot and i hav had surgery since, and it has almost completely halted the endo! there is still some but it is inactive and tons less than it was before! I did have the side effects of hot flashes and night sweats but honestly they arent that bad for me and this med has been lik a godsend! I really do urge people to try it, because when i researched it, i was sacred to death! but honestly it was one of the best decisions i have ever made!
Hope this reassured you and i hope ur exp is lik mine! "

" I have met people who had positive experiences with Lupron. It can relieve/eliminate the pain if it's mostly implant/lesion pain (not adhesion/scarring pain). The negatives are that it puts you into menopause instantly -- lots of nasty side effects can spring up, but most you would have with menopause anyway. Just my $0.02. "

" it's a psuedo menopause...meaning your body acts like it's in menopause...just like the BC is a pseudo pregnancy effect...makes your body think it's pregnant. As soon as you stop taking it...well within a few months or so you get your cycle back. I had a hard time with this actually...In the first few weeks after I felt like I was getting my period...pain, headache, backache, moody...but nothing ever happened...after 4 months of that I finally had my dr give me something to induce a cycle...then I was better! " I'm three weeks in and experiencing flu-like symptoms and hot flashes. I also got my period early and had enough pain that they had to give me painkillers, but I do have a ridiculous amount of scarring and adhesions, and they say it gets better after the first month. Last time I had a lot less side effects, and the pain was good for two years. I figure it's worth it.

Last time I was on lupron, I had an increased sex drive, but that might have been from the lack of pain... "
