Has anyone had endo in their rectal/rectum or on their bowel? I am thinking I may and was curious what symptoms you have/what the pain feels like. Mine is painful bowel movements, pain when I sit, and feel like shooting pain or someone shoving a stick up my rectal area, also when having sex feels like my bowels are being pushed against? sorry for the detailed info but Is anyone else experiencing this?

" I don't know for sure if I have endo on my bowel, but it was my bowel symptoms that made my gyn think I had endo. I have severe constipation with my period, and symptoms the rest of the month similar to IBS (diarrhea with no cause, then constipation). During my periods I have pain with bowel movements and twisting too. It is definitely something to look into. I'm having my first lap on Tuesday and I asked her to specifically look on my bowels because of my symptoms. Hope you have some good days soon! "

" Asburyv,
I had endo on my rectum. It was severe and my anterior rectum was attached to my uterus. I had stage 4. I ended up seeing a specialist and he was able to separate my rectum off of my uterus and excise all the endo off of my rectum. The rectum is a fairly common area for endo, esp severe endo. I too had painful bowel movements, mostly on my period only though. It would feel like a knife up my rectum, not fun!! Have you ever had a lap to see where your endo is? "

" I am glad someone posted this question!! I have very painful bowel movements, which are 100x's worse if I have to hold it in, as well as pain in that area during sex (which SUCKS!!). However, I do not get the diarrhea...does anyone happen to know if this can still be from Endo if there is no diarrhea? & I had my 1st lap in February...is it possible that the doc either didn't look in that area or it just wasn't there and grew later? "
