I was wondering if anyone would be generous enough to share with me some of their symptoms and possibly tell me what they think about mine… As I’ve never actually been diagnosed with endometriosis. My gynecologist just has me on birth control my troubles haven’t been that severe. But I feel that something just doesn’t seem right to me and my dr. is leaving me frustrated even the nurse at the clinic said it sounded like it could be endometriosis. It started about a year ago when what used to be normal period cramping turned into pain there is a difference in cramps and what I would experience its like a stabbing, burning, feeling. It first began in my lower back I thought it was my kidneys or something but then it moved to the lower right side of my abdomen it’s like it switches from my left to right side. Bending over can hurt or like lifting my legs. I think it hurts to lift my legs because the pain for me can be in my lower abdomen but I also experience the same thing in my hips. One time I even went into the dr’s thinking I had a bladder infection because I would have to urinate a lot and at times I couldn’t. I woke up once during the night and couldn’t pee for like an hour but I had the urge and even going hurts sometimes but it hurts inside; like in my abdomen if that makes sense. Anyways I never had any type of infection and it confuses me. I’m not saying I have it I actually have no clue what’s going on and I’m ok with it I guess because it hasn’t been that problematic for me at least not yet I just don’t know what to do…Thanks

" It may sound like it but best you do some research online. Do a google for it or go to WebMD. I have pain in my abdomen and also heavy periods, with the pill is helps ease all this and get my period back on track. I do not have it as bad but have read others having it worse. For example symptoms could be incapacitating pain in the uterus, lower back, and organs in the pelvic cavity prior to and during the menses. Pain through out the cycle, painful intercourse, excessive bleeding including the passing of clots and shreds of tissue, nausea, vomiting, constipation and infertility. I also experience anemia because I have heavy periods. Not to scare you but this is some of the symptoms I have read. But you should do some reading up on it, you may find some things helpful and even want to ask some things about it. Hope this helps out. It does suck having endo. "

" I actually have ALL of that except infertility - which I was told I was lol but I have a 6month old daughter so I am not!!!
It could be another gynae prob also, like pelvic congestion (I have this too, it produces some overlapping symptoms with endo - a few ladies on here can give you great info on it!!)
If I would you, I would be switching gynae's until I found one who is interested in finding what is wrong with you, not just throwing you on birth control. I was put on the pill at age 11 (started disabling periods at 10) and was told everything was pychological until my lap at 18 found moderate - severe endo!!!!
Honestly, keep searching for a better gynae, one that listens to your problems and can help you find a solution xx "
