Hi ladies. I have Fibroids, Adenomyosis, and general endo, and i've just gotten Mirena. I was treated with four months of Lupron, which my body didn't tolerate well this time around, so we opted to skip the Novasure, so that we could get me some hormones back. Now that you have my background, onto the ? of the day....
It's only been about 3 days since the insertion, and i'm still cramping horribly... Even with this cramping, I can't help but notice the revival of hormones, and renewed desire for hubby. (every1 on Lupron should be able to sympathize here... lol) My question is, how long has it taken for any of you to heal from Mirena? How long after getting it were you able to go back to ANY kind of sexual activity? I want to with hubby but i'm afraid this horrible cramping will continue or get worse with orgasm... :( Hope some1 can offer me some advice. Hugs and blessings to all my Endo sisters here. Peace! Please don't take my experience as your own, Michelle. I've had worse pain from endo and child birthing, so this isn't that bad compared to some pains i've had. I can say if you haven't had kids, it's a scary thing to experience. But any1 who's been thru labor, should be able to handle this no prob, imo. It's been 5 days now, and I feel better than I've felt in years, cramps and all.
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! ~C.C.
