Endo pain came back

I had a complete hysterectomy 6 yrs ago due to endometriosis, the doctor could not get all my cervix. She said there was about a silver dollar size left and at the time said it was acting as an anchor to sew my stomach back to.

Question is... has anyone had endo pain come back or twinge of pain similar after a hyst. I am worried that since some cervix was left that endo can grow back. I do not have my overies of tubes so there is nothing to make hormone and I have no periods.

I just wanted to know if anyone had this happen.

Hope

" are you taking estrogen? if so then the estrogen feeds the endo and makes it grow.a hysterectomy is no cure for endo in fact there is no cure.many woman are like you who have hysterectomies and still have endo pain. good luck and feel better

" i have spoken to alot of women world wide and it is quite alarming at how many have got endo back worse than before the hysto. if you are on horomone replacement check the estrogen levels as endo needs estrogen to grow but there are alot of natural horomone replacements without estrogen.
it must be so hard having a hysto thinking that it will answer all your problems only for endo to rear its ugly head again.

good luck hun and hang in there "

" I had a total abdominal hysterectomy both ovary's removed and my endo is still there. I'm going in to see an endo specialist this Friday thank god!! the pain is horrible. I think its just as bad as it was before. Yes I am on estrogen but I have to wait till I see him to get it changed. I couldn't go with out it right now.
Good luck!! "
