" It is possible for endometriosis to spread to other areas within the body, however it is rare. I suggest that you contact your doctor and explain your symptoms as soon as possible. Best wishes.Lovebyrd "

" I am a sufferer of thoracic endo and have been for 7 years now... i started to get mild chest pain at the age of 14 along with heavy periods...i also spit blood out of my mouth, or when it is really bad i can lean over and blood will pour out of my mouth. it went undiagnosed for 6 years and even now that i am diagnosed its still a roller coaster because its so rare, there has only been about 20 cases documented. i have x rays and ct's of the chest and it showed nothing, then i had an MRI which showed some blurry spots on the right lung. i am now waiting to get my thoracic scope so they can pin point exactly where the tissue is and then after that i will get another surgery where they will laser or burn the endo tissue off the lungs. but it is possible you may never find the tissue because it could be in an air pocket on the lungs and hiding and wont ever be found. i hope that is not my case but i will find out after my thoracic scope. you should get your diaphragm checked out because i have a hole in mine which is how the endo tissue is getting to the lungs.... i really hope this isn't what you have because it is hell, my life has been totally altered because of this... until this get fixed or under control i have to stay out of college and not work because i am in to much pain to do anything and have alot of fainting spells. I'm pretty much bed ridden, and just so you know the type of pain is like really bad cramping when your on your period but in your chest and upper part of the back , and you get shortness of breath kind of like an elephant is sitting on your chest and you can't catch your breath.
so i hope this helps and mention it to your doctor and hopefully they can get the ball rolling to find out if this is what you have... good luck* "
