" I've started using a powdered magnesium supplement at night before bed and I'm like clockwork now. You can get it at most nutrional stores. I like Super Mag the best. :) Best thing I've found in awhile. Before that between the endo and the iron supplements I would get so blocked up I would litterly be sick for weeks. No fun. Now I've not had one incident of constipation since taking. It's water soluble so you can't really od on it and it helps you relax a little too. So take before bed :) Hope it helps you as much as it's helped me. "

" yes! pregnancy has complicated this. metamucil, the odorless/tasteless, works wonders. you can mix into your food and/or drinks. you will be very gassy at first, but it gets things going in a more natural way. "

" Oh do I ever. I know how you feel. I had my first endo surgery in Nov. 0f 2007 and after that I became normal again if you know what i mean, then I became pregnant and now my daughter is one and for the past couple months I have constipation again. It really sucks. But I deal with it just cause I don't know what else to do for it and I don't want to take laxatives every day But now that i think about it I do remember that when I would eat activia yogurt or fiber one yogurt at least once a day every day it helped a lot so I think i might have to go back to that regimen. If you haven't tried it yet it might help you to. Hope this helps :) "

" Try prunes. They help me when I feel constipated. You should also see and endo specialist. If its on your bowel, the sooner they treat it the better. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs!!! "

" Oops, I forgot to add that sometimes, the problem is not on the problem is not on the bowel itself, but in the area and when you have your period, the endo sheds onto hte bowel area causing the constipation. Ask your doctor to do a bowel examination before they start removing sections of your bowel. Its a horrible examination and really painful, but it better to know before the operate. Best of luck! "

" Hi There,

I also had bowel problems that range from constipation to diarrhea. Along with the problems and added pain before I need surgery for the Endo I also have what I thought was IBS. I started seeing a team of world renounded doctors in April of this year. I found out at this time that I have neuro dysfunction of the GI tract associated with Endometriosis. I also found out at this time that Endo, PCOS, IBS, Depression, and Anxiety are all caused by insulin sensativity. This is all on a cellular level. Here is a link to my doctors' website showing their study on the neuro dysfunction http://www.johnmathias.com/endo.html.

Also please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, or just want to vent.

Be Gentle With Yourself,
Kristie "

" I didnt read through all the posts, so sorry if someone else already said it. You should ask your doctor about lactulose. It's not exactly a laxative, more like a softener. It works wonders! lol. I don't understand why your doc doesn't want you to use laxatives..i mean if you're needing to take them then isn't the problem already there? Anyways, worth asking about. I have taken it my entire life. I would never use anything else. "
