hi there , does anyone else with endometriosis suffer constipation, i have a lot of scar tissue cause from endo around my bowel which has made me always constipated, doc say dont rely on laxatives cos u cant take them long term , i eat plenty fruit , veg , water but nothing helps , does anyone suffer the same and have some advice?

" I tend to get a mix of constipation and then having to go all the time. I always figured before that this is just how my body is. I never really thought about it. Finding foods that loosen your bowels seems to help. Also, maybe you could look into a mix in....Metamucil, or something, I think. They have various types now. Good luck to you. "

Will no one remove the adhesions? This could be dangerous if left like this.
I used to be constipated from endo and my last surgery fixed it. I had endo on and in the bowel, but adhesions can be just as problematic. I know surgeries can cause more adhesions, but it does depend on the skills of your surgeon.

" Constipation is part of why endo accures. Our bodies do not get rid of all the extra hormones through your BM and this is why we get the endo and scar tissue.

Ever since my Dr. told me this I take extra fiber but I don't use lazatives because they are too rough on the body. I also eat plenty of high fiber foods to help. I have not had a problem with constipation since.

" Try also avoiding dairy products (or only drink low fat milk and less of it), as it can make it worse. I find also blending frozen fruit with some water works way better than regular fibre....it just seems to get things going more. "

" i often get constipation near my period..and then my bowels get a little loose or i get diaherah and urgency just the day befor emy period and 2 days into it.

I find that exercising helps, using a bike or brisk walking..even jus a mile. I always stomach massage, jus stroke around the clon area. Drink atleast 2 lires of water a day and herbal teas help me too.

Swimmings good aswell if you enjoy that. Have u tried stool softeners? this is what the doc told me to do.. "
