Why Is No One Talking?

I know from the list of people that there are more than just 2 or 3 of us out there.

Encephalitis can be such a dibilitating illness for some of us, and to others it was merely a blip in their lives in comparison.

All the in-between types are a curiosity to some of us. And some of are left wondering why. Amnesia is not uncommon yet no one is talking and I wonder why.

There's just so much that is left unanswered and if anyone is willing to share I believe it would be helpful. If not for anyone else it would be for me.

So if we could discuss and share I would be all ears. I finally got this out and I feel better already.

Thanks all my DS friends. Thanks

" Ruth, the amnesia that i had totally destoryed my life. Not being able to remember how old u r, your friends, kids or husband really crushed my life not to mention the marriage. It was like being reborn into another world. I had to relearn most everything I had ever learned. I don't blame the man for divoring me - we were so young and all we had was what Drs. were telling us and they told him I would never get any better to have me commited but instead he gave up, divorced me and took the kids - but I was in no shape to care for them. The pain was unbareable and i tried to kill myself - the feelings of being in a strange world and so helpless, abandoned - i snapped but i got help. there is more. Hope some of this has helped you. "
