Your right. I have several different vintage Halloween collections I love to put out each year and transform our house into a Haunted Mansion. This year was hard to decorate. It didn't seem to matter without the boy here. I thought I did it for me but apparently not. I always swore to myself that I wouldn't turn into one of those old people who went into hum-drum mode during the holidays, but now I get it. Without the kido here to spark things up it seems pretty dull. Hopefully this is all a transition, we'll get used to this and put decorations out for us. Maybe someday, not this Halloween, maybe next.

exactly how am feeling. sorry you feel that way to. maybe some day, but no right now. I only started like i always did out of habit I guess, to put some of the inside ones up. some. felt sad like id burst into tears. So I a stared to put my witch wreath that lights up on my door. and thats when I lost it.my eyes hurt in the back of them.,had to get into the house fast. It hit me. i was just going through the motions, Like a fool I lost it. Maybe next but I can not decorate the house tottaly this year.

Put up the decorations!...most likely they will be home for a visit right? You will come to treasure those visits so immensely. But don't set your expectations too high (like I do) so you won't be disappointed. When they come, cook or bake their favorite meal....that's what I do. Food is always an attraction in our house!
