i have to rant. i'm just soo angry and not a lot of people will understand this but you lot, lol.
so i was out in the city with my parents this afternoon and i suddenly start screaming with pain because i've felt some ribs dislocate so as my parents were trying to get me to go up some stair in order to get to the main road i was cursing to express my agony and i couldn't help myself and this mother walks passed me with her 4 year old and i would of stopped cursing or made up a word but because i couldn't at the time the 4 year old heard me and this mother went on a complete basserk at me an once we finally got passed that area we had to get to the emergency so we went to the closest hospital an they never dealt with EDS let alone what it was and the nurses and doctor ther all thought i was lying about the pain once i told them what happened but once they got the x-ray it was a different story but i honestly need to find a way for these australian doctors a pubilc to understand eds. its just so frustrating!!! trying to explain and get help to people over and over again. an they wonder why people develop depression because of the eds! EVERYONR DOUBTS YOU!!! ARRRGH!!! Posted on 06/27/09, 01:06 am |

I know, I don't get the reaction of a lot of doctors - I mean, I get that EDS is rare so few doctors know much about it , but why do the one's that don't know anything about it automatically brush it off as unimportant? It really irks the hell out of me!
I hope you're feeling better. What a rotten experience.
