I decided I wanted to stop using steroid creams. It did get worse before it got better, but I've really controlled my eczema. My allergist recommended I take a 15 minute bath once or twice a day- and it works. Just try for three days- even if your skin is red and irritated and scaly. (In the beginning it hurt to use regular lotion so I used 100% shea butter.) I use GoldBond lotion- Aloe/Shea Butter because it contains a high percentage of dimethicone. I file my nails once daily. Epsom salts seem to work in the bath also, but I would be wary of using it with very irritated skin. My skin is not perfect now- I'm still working on it. I hope somebody tries this- It was so good for me.
