Yeah the winter is the worst for me too. I have a really hard time keeping the skin hydrated. The things I do that seem to help a little are putting a humidifier in my room, of course moisturising right out of the shower before toweling off, drinking lots and lots of water, and if I feel like I really want to have a hot bath I add some olive oil to the water. I know you are young so you may not have control over this last thing but, I tend to lower the thermostat too, I think the heat is the main culprit for me anyway. If in your home you have radiators, Put a pan of water on top of the radiator, as the water evaporates it will add some moisture to the air.
These things help a little but, as I said the winter is the worst for me too. Good luck I hope I was able to help :)

I think it would really be worth it. Maybe you could ask your doctor to convince them.

I hate winter, too. And my excema goes to extremes in the winter. It's very painful, and no matter what creams/lotions/aloe/etc. I try, my skin is always dry, cracked, and painful.
I am going to use my leg warmers on top of my pants so I will not get direct cold to them, and the leg warmers won't touch my skin. I don't spend alot of time outdoors in the winter, yet it doesn't seem to matter...it just "hurts".

You poor thing. I am so sorry to hear this for you. Our son has had severe Eczema too and the one and only thing that has worked for him and has been a miracle is Vidazorb chewable probiotics. They are awesome and can be found at their website. It has really cleared his skin up! Also - I agree with the humidifier and we give our son a bath in baking soda (as his cleanser) and pure pour in about 1/4 cup of pure olive oil into your bath and just soak. It moisturizes so well and seals in the water into your skin. Best of all...it is chemical free. Be careful with the potent creams.
