My son has eczema, and I was speaking to a lady today who said that for her daughter she picks some lavender, puts the flowers in a stocking and puts it in her daughters bath. After the bath she keeps the stocking and pops it in a little dish. After some time the lavender oil seeps out and she uses that to moisturise her daughters skin. She said it worked better than all the steroid creams, aqueous creams etc. This lady is his swimming teacher, but she also used to be a nurse.
Has anyone here tried this? I'll try it out as soon as I can find some neighbours lavender to steal! Or, I might just buy a lavender plant :) I'll let you know how it goes. KC Posted on 10/01/09, 07:10 am |

I finally got my hands on some Lavendar, and you know, it seemed to work. I didn't have to put any creams on him for two or three days after. The only problem is getting my hands on enough lavendar. Its growing down by the beach but its a 20 min walk away....
