Hi I just was diagnosed with dyshidrotic eczema today. I had been using clobetasol cream from my dr and it was not helping. I have had a red, raised, cracking, severe itching rash on palms of hands that will not go away. Looks like it is going away and then starts all over with bumps, etc.
Today the derm dr gave me vanos cream. I read the side effects and not real impressed with this. Has anyone used this with good results and no side effects? It seems every time I go to dr I have something else. I have had fibromyalgia for 7 years, probable MS, Graves disease, Vit D deficiency, panic attacks, depression. I am so sick of constantly getting something else. Is this also and auto-ammunine disease? I really would appreciate any feedback or how to get rid of this or at least get rid of the horrible itching that wakes you up in the middle of the night. Sorry this is so long. Thanks for listening. This is all so new to me. I have never had dry skin in my life and now this. Linjane Posted on 03/27/09, 09:03 pm |

My daughter and I suffered from eczema too, so I feel your pain. You really should try Keys Tortuga Super Emollient Lotion (at http://www.hibiscusnaturals.com/Ke...). It really gets rid of the itch and rash. I have tried everything, including steroids, and this is the first treatment that I can say really works and prevents it from coming back. It is also rated extremely safe to use by EWG Cosmetic Safety Database, so it is VERY safe to use. Switching to products that do NOT contain sodium lauryl sulfate (a very harmful, irritating detergent in many foaming products) will also help a lot. Avoid anything containing fragrance too. You may also want to try modifying your diet as well. Wheat, corn and dairy are common triggers for eczema and cutting them out may eliminate your condition all together. Hope this helps! Good luck to you!

Looks like you have had your thyroid checked which is a good thing. A lot of these symptoms you have can be directly related to your Thyroid disease and your levels could still be off. I know that once my thyroid levels were in check that my eczema became very managable with proper preventive care( keeping skin hydrated avoiding scented product exc.) I would reccommend making sure that your levels are in check and the best informative website I found is stopthetyroidmadness.com. Good luck to you I am sorry you are itchy!!!

ANY kind of STEROID CREAM including VENOS will lead you to NEVER ENDING of suffering in the end.
You will be tied by the cream, plus your skin will be thinner by every application. You will not see the different now, but in about 3years time, you will realise your condition get worsen and never get cured! its time to look into alternative: http://www.newskintherapy.com - blood cup suction, sucking away the real problem under the skin: toxin in the body

I get dyshidrotic eczema too, It drives me nuts - sooooo itchy. All over my hands and sometimes my toes. Generally I seem to get outbreaks at times of stress. I also had a very bad outbreak due to a change in washing powder brand - that time it went all the way up to my elbows. So for me, all 'sensitive skin' type products and some nightly relaxation helped.
Hope its gotten better by now. KC

Sorry to hear you have this I to have just been recently diagnosed with it but it affects my feet from top to bottom and all the way around. We tried everything to get ride of it and finaly a shot in the buttox and some antibiotics they got it to go away except the dryness I have now been introdued to Amlactin it is suppose to be one of the best creams out their for dry skin soak your hands in water for a while and then apply some of this cream and put on your cotton gloves. The cream is a little steap but its suppose to do the job. I hope it works for you because I know the pain i get from my dry skin is unbarable most days.
