Hi. I am new to the 'living with eczema' challenges.
Below are my conditions... Scalp: Very Oily I have had Dandruff for my entire life. I use medicated shampoo daily I have extremely oily hair and my scalp can become very itchy at times. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hands: Constantly sweating I have Moist Hand Eczema. (worst in the summer; caused by increased sweating?) Itchy blisters form and then burst causing large areas of peeling skin. I have a steroid cream that I use when I have an outbreak. The outbreaks are getting worse and worse though. The blisters are more abundant and in many more areas on my hands. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Face: Very Oily Recently, I've begun to develop eczema on my face. I had small areas of dry patches on my face but I've developed peeling on the sides of my nose and underneath my eyebrows also. My dermatologist prescribed a steroid cream. I've noticed that after months of on and off use of the steroid creams, I have begun to get these small reddish bumps ALL over my forehead and cheeks. They don't hurt like a pimple and can't be popped either. Some of them peel a little. I suspect they are not pimples because I've never had pimples on my cheeks. Questions: 1. Is my dandruff actually Seborhoeic dermatitis if my scalp is oily and itchy? 2. Do you think it's just the summer making the eczema on my hands so bad or the use of steroid creams? 3. Could these bumps on my face be part of my eczema? Posted on 08/22/09, 12:08 pm |
