What is the best laundry detergent to use for ecze

My daughter is 3 1/2 years old and she has small sores from where she scratches. She has been treated for eczema and we use Aveeno lotion on her. She mostly gets this in the winter months when her skin is really dry.
I was wondering what is the best kind of detergent to use on her clothes? I was using gain and then changed to something that had no perfumes then I missed my good smell and bought the gain again and it broke her out. Is there something out there that smells good and is helpful to her skin?
Thanks

" I do think that the fragrances they put in detergents are very allergenic to those with sensitive skin issues. I myself have that very same reaction to the heavily scented soaps and I have had tremendous success with the Seventh Generation free and clear detergent. Arm and Hammer also has a free and clear that's also environmentally safe and more economical. It is the only other one I personally use besides the Seventh Generation products. You could probably get away with the scented soaps of that brand but I admit I now only use un-scented ones. You might also try some calendula cream which is very soothing for dry and itchy skin. "

" I have to say that fragrances are the worst offenders for sensitive skin - you may have to say goodbye to fragrance in detergents and cleansers for the time being. Seventh Generation is good and I also use All free and clear - if I can't get the 7th generation product. Part of caring for sensitive is keeping it free from irritants, maybe when her skin is stronger you can see about other products but I think winter is the worst time to experiment. "

" Hi Belle, I have to agree with the others, Seventh Generation is the best for natural detergent. You know... Aveeno uses synthetic fragrance to scent their products. I know they try to claim they're natural, but the scent is perfume. I've studied aromatherapy for 5 years, and I guarantee that sadly everything from the drug store/grocery store is perfume scented. So, in reality your're really still putting perfume directly on her skin. If you really want to use truely natural products here's a link for you to look at. The company is called Lavish. I've used it myself and it works wonders. Good luck!

" You can buy it from a health food store like Whole Foods (or check out your local health markets). You can probably buy it from their website too. I would check that out.

" I use All with no perfumes or dyes and then put a less scented dryer sheet in the dryer and that seems to be ok. I break out from just about everything all year round. "

" I've used the baby laundry detergent Dreft with very good results. I've also found it's best to skip the scented fabric softeners. "
