this is directly from my head to this board...i hope no one gets offended!

dear restaurant owners,
The world is well aware of that fact that much of America is obese. But pretty much every educational/scientific journal I come across about Eating Disorders, I am informed that they are on the rise and are running quite rampant in our country. This piece of information got me to thinking; if Eating Disorders are so prevalant, why are restaurants only catering to the obese? Take for instance the chairs in ur facility, you gladly widened/re-enforced them with steel to better suit ur larger customers, now how about offering some seating with extra padding for those of us who lack the padding ourselves? And how about not freezing us out while we are there? I realize that the obese customers are sweating their brains out and require the A/C, but how about offering a seating section where the heat is on full blast all of the time? Now about your menu, I notice that you have taken great care to allow customers the option to supersize their meals, now how about also offering teeny tiny portions, and making the salads automatically come without dressing unless otherwise specified (this would make our orders alot easier to make the waiters/waitresses to understand!). And lastly, when the server delivers the check with those peppermints as they always do, could you make sure that they also bring along a bottle of scope for my bulimic friends? I mean come on, they are going to do it anyways so why not provide them with the comfort of fresh breath? I thank you for this time and would like to close this letter with the notion that if you were to make the changes as I have above described, that you will see a mass amount of new business, because as I have already told you EDs are on the rise!

Sincerely,
Missy

" LOL Funny, but in many ways, true! I wish that restraunts would serve by portion sizes, not plate sizes!

Also, I love the Scope idea... but in the future, can you ask for the Crest ProHealth rinse instead? It doesn't burn. Thanks! "

" OMG HILARIOUS!!! Okay, so seriously, my husband told me that I should open an eating disordered restaurant or grocery store. I'm like, oh man, what'd we serve? Laitue a la moutarde? (Fancy french for "lettuce with mustard.")

Oh dear god, I'm laughing. "

" And I think you should also request sound-proof bathroom stalls. "

" LPM... you need a more extensive menu than that... you need to offer both celery and lettuce, with choices of salt, vinegar, or mustard. Of course, no meal is complete without a Quart of water in a pitcher for each guest! "

" haha this is so funny. Yes...bloody hell, crank up the heating please. Try working in a air conditioned office. I feel like im dressing for the snow when i go to work! Yes and plese put equal or splenda next to sugar! I love seeing waiters reactions whenever i ask for sugar substitute with my coffee. Its just such a bloody effort for them to fetch it. Well....try dealing with an ED ever day! And also at gas stations...trying to sell you 2 for 1 or 20 for 10 chocs and lollies! "

" SPLENDA? Eeeek!

I want stevia in restaurants! And, and, and - while I'm at it, The number 2 blue plate special shall heretoforthwith consist of fresh leaf spinach with salsa on the side, and some oh so crispity crunchy sugar free sweet pickles. (ok ok, they are made with splenda - lol!) "
