Today I read a book for an hour. Took some time to myself, relaxed and it helped keep ED at bay....

" Good for you!

I made myself eat breakfast when I was tempted to skip it to save calories. I told myself that skipping would only lead to a binge later on, b/c that's always what happens. "

" I didn't skip lunch like I wanted to really badly, and I also didn't sneak off to a back bathroom to purge, like I really, really, really wanted to do. "

" I ate breakfast this morning....and didn't skip it! I'm doing pretty well with this...and My fiance took me out today to do a little shopping at the mall. We stopped to get lunch around four (my days are always later than most people.. ha ha) And i had a half a turkey sandwich and we shared a strawberry banana smoothie...i kept focused and kept pushing the ED thoughts away each time one popped into my head! It's been about three weeks since the last time i binged and purged! =D "

" Reading this post is amazing! Fighting is hard but we can do it! Way to go all of you!!
I made myself get back on track after I purged breakfast. I ate lunch and dinner and I'm now distracting so that I don't purge dinner. "

" Purging is not an option. That part is firmly entrenched in my thinking, and praise GOD, 9 months purge-free hallelujah!!! The bingeing/overeating/mindless-shovelling/nervous-cramming is the hard part for me. I fought it today by moving AND shaking, working hard, listening to country music ( ha ha don't knock it till u try it), painting, patching walls, cleaning bathrooms, texting n emailing friends and family, and accepting help from an old friend to work right alongside me today... I couldn't do that before, when I was drinking and wrapped up in ED, I couldn't work with someone ALL DAY... how much my life has changed this year... it's amazing! Thanks, Yazzz, great post, ur doing fantastic work on yourself! LIfe has so many more colors and flavors, doesn't it, without ED... oh no, time to sign off when I start talking about the colors of life... "

" I ate breakfast AND lunch, even though by the time I ate breakfast it was 10:30 and I was really, really tempted to just wait until lunch. Feeling a little piggy right now, but I'm trying to fight those feelings.

I also took a walk up to the lake. It's a beautiful day, and the blue sky with the lake and snow-covered mountains behind it were incredible. I made an effort to stop for a minute and enjoy that, rather than looking at walking as just a way to burn calories. "

" Fighting right now by thinking how much better I'll feel about myself by *not* being bulimic today. I have love and strength to get me through! "
