Milestones - Wouldn't this be cool?

I'm pretty sure that in AA they make a big deal out of hitting milestones (30 days sober, etc.). I think it would be nice to do something like that here - would anyone else like that? Haven't thought through the details of how - just some way to recognize people who hit milestones, even small ones. Would people find this helpful and supportive, or might it be triggering for some?
I'm leaving for vacation in a little while.... going to Raleigh for a dance competition. Trying to make it 5 days without b/p while also eating enough for energy so I can get through the weekend. That is so hard! Everyone have a wonderful weekend!! Peace and strength, Ali Posted on 10/29/09, 02:10 pm |

Yay, that's so great to read about everyone's milestones, achievements and goals.
I did ok with my goal but not great. Was binge free for 7 days, and then on the last day of the dance event I was really hungry and ended up having a b/p. Then I did it again yesterday, but got back on track today. These weekends are so challenging - all the activity makes me sooooo hungry and I'm not sure what's "ok" to eat so I tend to get it wrong. Oh well - trying to celebrate that I ate enough food, had a lot of energy and fun all weekend.

Great idea hun! Ive seen a few positive posts on here lately where ppl are posting recent achievements and its uplifting to see them! I know everyone else appreciates them.
Goodluck hun. I know you can do it1 They say in AA "one day at a time" (I believe) so take it one meal at a time

Ok, I've given this a tad bit of thought and since we should celebrate ALL milestones how bout we call it a TOOT (like in your own horn) we already have TRIGGER for our subject line, why not a TOOT. This way lets say so and so had a binge free day and want to share w/ others. Simply put TOOT in the subject line and then they can share.
Hey, just an idea.
