" I did nutrisystem last year in the hopes that it would help structure my meals and it really did. The food wasn't that bad at all, so I would recommend it. My doctor wasn't the biggest fan of the idea because she thought that it was still "diet food", but it helped me plan in advance my meals for the entire week. "

" If you would like to start to eat healthy, then nutrisystem, or any other "diet", for that metter, is not the way to go. Diets don't work because you only learn how to eat their food and follow THEIR plans, so when you stop the diet and go into the real world, you'll have no clue how to eat right. I recommend a nutrionist, if you can. Otherwise eating healthy portions of whatever food you like, making sure you're incorporating foods from all the food groups, along with regualr exercise, should work. "

" To go back to my earlier comment, what MermaidSinger says is very true. BUT, it was helpful for me at that stage because it gave me structure. I didn't use NutriSystem to lose weight, so when I stopped eating the food, there was no consequence. I had gotten in the habit of eating 3 meals a day and it was an easier transition for me than it otherwise might have been. Obviously, this will work differently for everyone, but its not a terrible idea:) Just trying to be positive! :) "

" I've wondered the same thing whether nutrisystem or some other guide would help me "learn" what a meal looks like. However, I'm not sure I could get myself to eat anything besides the veggies and fruits. I think it is definitely a good start. Diets aren't good, but maybe this would be a nutritional lesson. (?) "

" I would recommend you see a nutritionist. If you want to portion out your meals a nutritionist will be able to help you with that and you will get one on one attention. "

" i actually have seen many nutritionists and all of them were no help, they were to vague with my meal plans and i know enough about food and everything, its more having everything prepackaged for me, i think that will do me good. "

" Whatever it is, I hope it isn't too strict and lets you deviate to give yourself a treat sometimes. Any plan which is too strict can lead you to feel deprived and then "cheat". This can set up a pattern of guilt and self defeat. Just want you to be careful. xo "
