I tried on my favourite jean today and they don't fit. They are too tight and i ended up in tears. I don't like it. Now all i think is how much i have been eating and how i shouldn't have eaten tea last night. I can't stop the thoughts and i feel so sick

I have the same problem, I tried on my jean capris and they were very very tight, I have decided that I am going to be travelling in those Capris on the 24th of this month--so I have resolved to try them on everyday--hoping to motivate myself , today I did Great hopefully tomorrow is good day too--I will be trying them on tomorrow morning too-- Hoping to be able to breathe in them soon--Trying to use my pants as a motivating factor--

I hate that :( It is so depressing. I currently take the schlepping route and spend a lot of time in scrubs and sweat pants. I hate having to put real pants on when it is time to go out somewhere. Hang in there though. Our bodies....change.

I know that feeling :/ its horrible. but there comes to a point where its times to just get new clothes that do fit. That has been some really hard for me to except myself. I think my jeans from freshman year of high school need to fit and im in college now. most ppl get new sizes by then which is normal. But its ok. im sure you are still beautiful. You can think of it as an excuse to go shopping if shopping is something you like to do, but i know it can also be scary for some as well. Hope you feel better. stay strong and always chose recovery. Ed sucks and doesnt deserve your time of day.

I don't like jeans in the first place. Never have. Anything new with a size label is nothing to trust or feel is worth trying to fit in to. I have a collection of vintage clothing from the 50's and 60's (I love vintage...) and the labels for a size 28 jean today, was near a 38 back then. Numbers don't matter. How you look matters. No one sees you out in public and sees a number. They see you. They see nothing but who you are and are not concentrating on your figure. And if they are, then they are not worth knowing or talking to. Anyone who sees you for a number, a weight, or a certain "look" is someone who, in my opinion, is a bully and needs to understand that the only thing that matters is you as a person.
I don't wear jeans anymore. I wear leggings, dresses, and skirts. I found a style I liked - vintage - and have stuck to it. Not a size or number, but a style, a genre. It makes me feel great and I have fun. No one has ever commented on my size (other than my mother who will always say I am too skinny...) but rather my confidence, my smile, and my clothes that make people want to have fun. It's hard, but if you keep stuck in this idea that this one size of jean will make you in control and happy, well, it won't. If anything it will keep you caged in a prison of depression, starvation, and anxiety.

I managed to get my fav pants on today. They have been going on for a while but I was just hating the way they looked on. Apparently that little body dismorphia had been hard at work because it took someone taking a picture to show me what I looked iiike for me to realize that what I was seeing was not really there. ugh Balls!!!
