i am really struggling with that today. i can't finish a meal completely without doing it. HELP!

I did that for 15 years-only makes you gain weight or maintain.Carbs and certain foods start digestive process as soon as we mix with saliva.It also ruins your stomach,esophagus,etc. from stomach acids-not worth it.This is one of the hardest ed habits I had to break and so glad I did.

did you get headaches afterward? i have a really bad headache. how does it mess with your stomach? how did you stop? my therapist says it's a form of purging. i know she's right, but it seems deceptively "safer" than out rightly throwing up.

I knew it made me gain weight especially carbs,starches,etc.I fely crappy and guilt over wasting food when ther are those who starve without choice daily. i would rather starve than waste. I just stopped cold turkey-there is no cutting back or easy way. I chew 6 pieces of sugar-free gum daily now. I had corrosion of stomach lining and esophagus because body expected food to go down and churned up all the acids in preparation.

I got anxious too but what helped was sucking on sugar-free candy.I bad habit takes 28-30 days to break normally but we have eds so just take everyday you do not do it as a great accomplishment-set is as your goal in your journal.

Oh my word, I struggle with this so badly. If I want to "eat" something but not digest it, I will take food with me into the bathroom just so I can chew it up and taste it before spitting it out.. I have a real problem with this. If I crave something sweet or unhealthy, I do this because it satisfies my sweet tooth. Plus, I've tried to make myself throw up before, and I just can't do it- so this acts as an alternative.
