" I found this movie/book to be very triggering. I ended up looking at the weights of the girls and thinking "they're not even THAT thin!", when in reality they were because they are all sick enough to need inpatient care. It kind of turned into a competition with the girls in the book/movie.

I would recommend it to friends and family, but not anyone in recovery because of the very descriptive language and the visual images. "

" Have not read the book, but watched the video.. It was a bit triggering, but made me think about myself.. Inpatient is very intense, and I really felt their pain... It is a great recommedation for family and friends. It can help them see, how difficult it is to be faced with food, and how ED makes us think...
Peace.. "

" I also found this to be terribly triggering. I remember finding it when it first came out. I have an addiction to ed books and movies. I would watch it all the time. I saw some of the pictures from the book on Ms. Greenfield's website. Recently I've been looking at them again. =/
I think it's good for non-ed people to kinda see the hell that eds cause, but should definitely be kept away from people that are struggling with it. "

" I too don't think Thin the documentary is a postivie for people with ED. I watched it when it first came out and I too thought, they aren't that thin, "wow, wish I could be ==lbs etc. I kept going back to it in a very unhealthy way. "
