Is with Dystonia recieving disability and if so would you have any advice or help on how to go about getting it? I have been battling Cervical Dystonia for almost 3 years and can no longer work. I have been getting Botox treatments but they give me little or no relief. I have applied for SSI 3 times and have been denied all 3 times. I have a 4 year old son and I have no income. If anyone has any infromation on what I could do to help I would greatly appreciate it! God Bless...

" You have to get a lawyer. There are lawyer's that specialise in ssi, and social security benefits. They will not charge you until you get the money. It should go back to when your illness began. I don't qualify for ssi, or social security benefits, because my husband works, and we have no children at home. I did get ssi briefly when my son was in high school, and my daughter was in college. My lawyer was great I didn't even have to go to court he took care of it.

" I was also denied 3 times. It took about 3 years for my Social Security to finally be approved. At the time my children were 3 and 8. It was a long road. See what your county offers. During the waiting period I was able to apply for W-2. It was $628 a month. I live in Wisconsin. The county helped me out a ton. Good Luck! "

" I'm currently fighting for Social Security. I was denied once and got an attorney immediately. It's been two years and I'm told to expect a hearing within a year. Thank God I receive long term disability through my previous employer, but I am required to apply for Social Security. Hang in's a long road. "
