Our daughter has feeding problems and just started Vital Stim...this therapy is terrific...it has been used on stroke victims and something like 90 percent have gotten back almost all of there face movement...the therapy is simple...they attach electrodes to the face and neck...kind of like those ab machines they used to sell where they did the work for you...same idea..except lower voltage...it works the muscles and lets the brain know where and how to use the muscles and we went from pudding foods to puree in just a month...its given by a certified Speech therapist...and I think it would work great for your son...it doesnt hurt...feels a little different but my 1 year old didnt mind at all...I wish they would have used it on my son with Apraxia It would have done wonders Im sure...
