I did not speak till I was three plus. Then I had pronounced stamma and had to have special education and elocution lessons for two years.
So what was the result for an Autistic, Dispraxic Dislexic Arnold Chiari Brain Malormation Bi Pilor I etc etc Well he gained two degrees one in Politics and History and one in Law. Was an accountant for three years. Then became the assistant to a charity's General Secretary. Then a Lawyer in a large commercial practice for 16 years. Now training as a writer and teacher. So do not worry we odd freakish wierd strange superb wonderful special people can DO ANYTHING!!!!!

My 18 year son was in therapy for several years for verbal and motor apraxia, starting at age 2+. It took some time, but by the time he was five, he did not need speech therapy any longer. He had speech 4X a week; keep working at it - it is well worth the hard work. Blessings to you

I started my own free website www.discuss-dyspraxia.co.uk and wrote a book on how to help children/parents understand and overcome Dyspraxia. My son has also excelled and is now 27 years old but through ignorance many children suffer in school and society.I hope you read my story as your son is old enough to make a difference and correct his difficulties. It can be hard work but dont wait untill it is to late but I bet like my son you will love him because he is very special.
