My 19 yr.old son has begun receiving speech therapy for his apraxia this year. He was just diagnosed with it as well as dyspraxia at the beginning of 2008. He has a lot of problems with his rhythm and this really affects his guitar playing. I am looking for the right kind of therapist for him. I don't know if that is an O.T. or a P.T. Does anyone have any info on who I should be looking for?

" OT's generally deal with the hands or fine motor movements and activities. PT's generally deal with gross motor activities. So if the guitar playing is the thing you want to target, I would go for OT. But your pediatrician should be able to help and/or make the referral. How old is your son? "
