Hello everyone. I've had dry eyes as far back as i can remember, and severe dry eyes the last few years since having lasik surgery. Bright lights, sitting in front of the computer screen for periods of time, or smoky, polluted air constantly irritated my eyes making then red & itchy and causing much discomfort.. I used tear drops and I tried taking 6-10 fish oil capsules daily for months but it didnt help. So I gave up until I read this year that omega3 is the best remedy and that this green lip mussel oil supplement is the strongest all natural omega3 on the planet (supposedly more than 100 times more effective than fish oil and 400 times more effective than flax oil). Tried it & was shocked to find instant relief the next day . I continue to have wet eyes all the time even in bright or smoky environments 3 months later as i continue to take this supplement daily-2 small soft gelcaps once a day-no side effects-all natural - pure with no fillers, chemicals, heavy metals (like mercury). And I've experienced other health benefits as well. What a blessing :) If you would like more info or to know where to order it to try it out (they have a 3 month money back guarantee) , please email me at zakbar321@hotmail.com. Good luck.

Dear Zako,
Does Whole Foods carry this & which brand do you use? I googled it & got a bunch of brands. My problem started in my left eye mostly, but I have blocked oil glands in both. It's worse in my left eye. It was horrible this pass winter & caused me many problems, including anxiety & depression. I hoep this can help. I've been on Restasis since the first of this year & it does seem to help some, but if I work in the yard it can inflame easily. Thanks for the info. I will try anything that helps my quality of life.

Hi Norm,
Were you able to get a good quality omega3? Some good sources are cod liver oil, krill oil, and mussell oil which you can find at a health shop or possibly stores like whole foods or market street in your area. They can come in pill or liquid form though i would think the liquid form where you drink a spoon 1-2x/day is best for absorption. Other good supplements I recommend for overall eye care are magnesium (ionic or citrate form, 500-700mg/day), vitamin C (500-100mg/day), astaxanthin (powerful betacarotene from fish), lutein, zeaxanthin, and bilberry. Please email me @zakbar321@hotmail.com if you have any questions or need any help. Good luck!

I've been on flax seed oil and Thera tears vitamins for a while. Not too much help. I think my main problem is MGD blocked oil glands and I don't produce enough tears.

Norm,
I think you need a stronger source of omega3. Flax is a weak source because it converts to ALA first & then a small fraction (5-10%) of that is converted to omega 3s. Fish oils are converted directly to omega3 so I recommend you take that. Check whole foods store, or a health store in your area would even be better since they would have a bigger selection & sometimes even better quality. Just google the terms "natural health store" and your area name and check. You can buy cod liver oil, or krill oil which is high in EPA, DHA the good stuff that helps provide the many benefits of omega3. Barleans brand comes in liquid form so it absorbed well & has a natural sweetener added that gives it a good taste without the fishy aftertaste.Good luck.

I have been taking a pharmaceutical grade fish oil but am interseted in the Omega 3 capsules that you talk about. Please let me know more. I also found a new eye drop called Fresh Kote that my doctor said works for 8-10 folks. I've tried Restatis, and many artificial tears but Fresh Kote by far gets my vote.
