Advice:
how much daily fish oil, to get rid of dry eyes

I have been taking 1200mg of fish oil daily. My eye doc recommended between 1,000-2,000mg/daily.

Doesn't seem to be having much of an effect.
Should I take more?? Are there side effects from taking too much?? How long do you need to take
it before seeing an effect??

Thanks.

" Hello teacherapple. I've had dry eyes as far back as i can remember and severe dry eyes the last few years since having lasik surgery. Bright lights, sitting in front of the computer screen for periods of time, or smoky, polluted air constantly irritated my eyes making then red & itchy and causing much discomfort.. I used tear drops and I tried taking 6-10 fish oil capsules daily for months but it didnt help. So I gave up until I read this year that omega3 is the best remedy and that this green lip mussel oil supplement is the strongest all natural omega3 on the planet (supposedly more than 100 times more effective than fish oil and 400 times more effective than flax oil). Tried it & was shocked to find instant relief THE NEXT DAY . I continue to have wet eyes all the time even in bright or smoky environments 3 months later as i continue to take this supplement daily-2 small soft gelcaps once a day-no side effects-all natural - pure with no fillers, chemicals, heavy metals (like mercury). And I've experienced other health benefits as well. What a blessing :) If you would like more info or to know where to order it to try it out (they have a 3 month money back guarantee) , please email me at zakbar321@hotmail.com. I'm sure you'll be glad you did. Good luck. "

" Hi Judith, yes omega3s also improve joint strength, increase joint mobility, and reduce joint inflammation and pain. So they assist with conditions like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Its like giving your body an urgently needed oil change! They also improve heart, brain, eye, emotional, and cardiovascular health so its important to choose a good quality omega3 source and take regularly. You can find alot of information on the internet about the proven health benefits of omega3s. And having done some research and tried sources like flax oil, fish oil, cod liver oil, the green lipped mussell oil was the strongest and most effective for me. I quickly noticed its effects. Good luck :) "

" I have never heard of green lip mussle oil, but I will look for it, one think I did want to mention, is if you are using your fish oil for joint relief, don't take Omega 6 with it, as it will interfere with the anti inflamitory effect. My druggist mentioned the same thing when I had my appointment with him. it is good for you, but best received in food rather than suppliment, but 3's you do need to take lots of, read up on the nutritional value so that you wont be conned when you buy something that has fillers or synthetic equivelents. always try to by natural or your body may not obsorb it properly.
