Sam is just really grumpy at times and often he can act out a bit and will actually try to kick our little dog. Now our dog is very good and never snaps back but sometimes I wish he would as this may halt Sam in his tracks . Dont get me wrong he is a joy at times and he is not hurting anyone else only the dog but he is really grump for long periods . Is this puberty ?? He is 9 almost 10 ( in 19 days ) but he has hit puberty already according to his docs. Any tips for dealing with this grumpy gus ?? I remember with the other three it was best to avpoid them when they got like this but cant really do that with Sam

" I'm not sure if it's puberty or if he is frustrated about something. Brendan has become more independent but not really moody. He seems to help himself, scooping ice cream and making peanut butter crackers type of stuff. Last week he fought my husband because I left to take Aaron to the train station and he was trying to get out of the house. If I had known he would of liked to come I would of let him come for the ride. Again, it was more him trying to get out than actually fighting him. I find that it's more of his size issue than his behaviors increasing. He's just bigger and when he wants to do something he is stronger.

Brendan is good with our dog, very rarely he may grab her tail and she will whimper. I immediately correct him and separate him from the dog. . She has very sensitive hips so it doesn't take much to hurt her. It doesn't happen very often. "

" Katie, I never had any problems with Daniel getting aggressive like that when he hit puberty. I agree with Bonnie, maybe Sam's frustrated about something. But, you know, our kids are all different in their own way, so maybe, for Sam, it is a hormonal thing. I "
