I was wondering if you had the spins? or the feel like falling over thing? Is it contsant or does it come and go? For me its mainly the feeling like im on a boat. If im standing in a line I feel like my legs are jello and I might tip over. Stores with floresent lights are awful. It also seems to affect my vision. Ive had blood tests done, I get my eyes checked regularly and nothing. Docter thinks its stress/anxity, in other words ...its in my head.

" Never ever ever let the doctor think its in you head. Go see a narualpath too...they have far different philosophies than these western doc that sometimes I wonder how they ever received a diploma.
Go see an ENT and Neuro doc. They understand the functions that handle ur symptoms in our bodies better than a GP.

Sounds like u have some migraine stuff. Headaches?? "

" Mine comes and goes. If I'm sitting on the edge of the bed and I lay back I will feel like I am spinning. Same with sitting up. I've had times where I've been so off balance that I walk into walls and have fell down a few times. In between the extreme vertigo I just feel off balance - woozy - like motion sickness and just not quite right.

These episodes as a whole might last a couple of days or even months at a time. They go away and I feel normal and then they come back - sometimes within weeks - other times months.

I have been trying lately - that when I start spinning, I immediately try to focus on something. That has been helping to lessen the duration of the spin.

I've read other people here mention stress - I have been under an ungodly amount of stress for a couple of years now. I don't think stress is in your head - stress can really affect ones health - it causes physical changes.

I am hoping that both the stress and vertigo can be managed soon - hope hope hope hope hope!!!!!!

I agree with seeing a Naturopath - it can't hurt.

" I had the spins one time...can't remember if it happened for the next couple days after it started......I would have paid more attention but I had NO idea I'd still be feeling bad after 3 mos. Anyway, I'm not spinning but I have a dizzy sensation in my head. It's kinda like when you get drowsy from medication.....I am always just this side of nauseated. I can eat.....but feel a tad bit nauseated. Sandwiches taste real good these days. Also, I wake up feeling funny (drowsy dizzy) but it usually lets up as the day goes on. Thank goodness! I can function.......but I know ths is not normal. Can't sleep on either side and use 2 pillows. Also, my eyes weirded out on me a couple of times the first round of vertigo.....saw an eye dr and all was well. Sigh. ALL tests came back normal for me. I am glad.....but wonder why I feel bad like this.

Laura....who is still drinking the ACV with water. "

" My dizziness feels like some sort of weird tingling whirly type of feeling. If I'm sitting, it feels like the sofa is swaying or like I'm falling or jerking a little. I get nauseated. If I look down for too long [sometimes] it feels like a minor quick vertigo spin that will catch my attention with alittle panic. I will then tilt my head up and start breathing to stop the attack.

I sleep with a lot of pillows. And sometimes when I get tired, I feel dizzy. If I dose off and be awakened, Oh Gees! That's a recipe for a vertigo attack.

Lately after getting over this bad cough, I have this pressure in my head when I bend over or cough followed by a little dizziness. I feel fatigued all of a sudden and tired out the blue. Hard to concentrate. And fighting a panic attack...just horrible way to live!!! "

" The first time I had a vertigo attack, I had been in a big store with bright fluorescent lights, but I teach in a room with fluorescent lighting, and it doesn't seem to affect me. The lights in my classroom seem to have some kind of cover over them, so maybe that's the difference? "
