I have not felt too swift this last week. No rapid heartbeats til today. When I was googling around back in August trying to torment myself with all that could be wrong, I remember reading about cardiac things. I think just for peace of mind I might look into a cardiac eval. Anyone ever done this? I know it could be from the dizziness.........but just in case....

" Thanks!! I have been kind of wondering what was involved. I want to go ahead and get this done since I have met my deductible this year and our copay goes up next year! It sounds like a simple thing. I guess I'll call someone Monday.

" Skip the heart monitor.Go straight for the ultrasound it's very interesting and can tell you if you have anything wrong with your heart for the most part.I wouldn't want the catheter test unless absolutely necessary.Good luck. "

" Hey Laura,
No, I haven't heard of this, [learn something new everyday] Although this dizzy crap causes heart palpitations and racing hearts, i don't blame you. i would get my heart checked out too. I had the echo cardiogram and stress test this summer. Had that scary leaky heart valve. But I was good, had a normal leaky heart valve. But I swear, I cant help but wonder with all the panic attacks i have had since then. (Like last night ugh) Does it affect your heart in the long run? Ask when you got for me. "

" I'll ask. My heart did the same thing while ago. Beating really fast. I knew it would slow back down eventually but I hate it when it happens. Dizzybabe, I thought your heart did that in the middle of the night? Mine has done that twice in the middle of the night. I am hoping to have the name of a good cardio to call tomorrow.

" Well at least getting your heart checked out isn't as complex as finding a diagnosis for balancing problems you know! You should get a straight answer!! "

" I sure hope I get a straight answer. I called and got an appt for this Thursday. I have been off balance today and a little dizzy. I am to the point where I will probably park on the couch in a little while. I just wish it would go away.
