Hi - this is my 2nd time around with Vertigo in the last 6 years. This episode hit me Sunday morning with a vengeance. Got up feeling fine, sat down, got back up and whoa! That was it! Very dizzy, room spinning, sick, headache. Went to ER where they did CAT scan, blood work, x-ray, etc., all which came back normal. Sent me home with Antivert which worked for the nausea and make feel very sleepy. Have stopped taking that because nausea has pretty much gone away and it made me too loopy.

This is my 3rd day home from work, wouldn't even think of driving. Feel somewhat better but far from normal. Mornings seem to be the worst time for me, especially during the first hour or two.

I have had sinus issues in the past and was wondering if Veritgo and sinus problems go hand in hand? The last time I had this the ENT performed some really awful test with goggles that only served to make me dreadfully sick. Is there anything else they can do that doesn't induce another attack? I won't let someone do that to me again.

How long can I expect this to last? Is Vertigo one of those things that once you have you will always have it? God help us all if it is!

Any info greatly appreciated. I am miserable in Maryland. Thanks in advance.

" If you had the test with the goggles and it made you sick, that sounds like BBPV which you can read about here:

If you have this condition then you need to get the epley maneuver done by a trained doctor or physical therapist. One you have that procedure done, the dizziness can get much better. "
