Hi, I am 46 years old, and have been diagnosed with vertigo 3 weeks ago. The only meds I'm on is Advair for my ashtma.
Although the doctor feels this will pass in a few weeks, I need some help understanding this. How could something come on so strong out of nowhere with no warning? I woke up one day, stood up, and felt like the world had just tipped sideways. That lasted an hour. The next episode was also in the morning, and was accompianed by nauseau which lasted 4 hours. I am taking my Antivert, but still feel mini waves coming over me and a slight tingling in my head & slight nausea. Is there anything I can do to ease this? Does the position you sleep in effect this? If you feel it coming on, is there anything you do to counteract it? It's hard to go about living my day in fear that an attack will come on me and endanger myself or others. (if I'm driving for instance) I know this is a lot of info, so if you answer it all, or just one question, I will appreciate it. Thank You so much!!!!!!!! Posted on 04/26/09, 08:04 am |
