For those still having difficulty passing stool or thin stool post op can try a geiment of 2 tbsp laculose with 1 tbsp metmucil mixed with grapefuit juice each morning, as well as 2 tbsp lactulose in the PM will greatly assist in daily BM's and reduce severe abdominal pain.
