Question about milk

Hi all,

Haven't been here for a while since I was doing so well. I really thought that exercise was the magic bullet. HAHAHAHA. I am sick again and back on liquids.

My question is, is it safe to drink low fat or fat free milk while having an attack? I want to get some protein - I feel like I'm going to pass out. I know that milk is bad if you have diarrhea, which I do not have, just a lot of pain.

Please let me know!! Thanks.

" I don't know about everyone else but, as much as LOVE milk (truly, I crave it when I'm sick and when I was pregnant) from what I have read, cow's milk is highly acidic and can upset your stomach and intestinal linings, whether you are sick or not. I've tried the soy, almond, etc., milks but did not care for any of them. However, I recently discovered "coconut milk" (non-flavored) in the organic section of the dairy case. It is the closest thing I've found to milk. They make in plain or vanilla flavor. I prefer the plain and I was pleasantly surprised that it does not taste like a coconut which I thought it would. Hope this info helps. "

" You have to be real careful drinking milk with the antibiotics. I forget which one is nutrialzed by milk. Drink milk longer than 2 hours before and 4 hours after. That does not leave much time. Milk makes you feel good because it removes some of the side effects of the antibiotics. I made that mistake. I am lucky I healed anyway. "
