I was actually doing really well. I did have alcohol 3 drinks on Fr and Sat (friends's wedding stuff). Then Sunday afternoon got a lot of nausea and right rided pain. At first I thought maybe I was going to develop appendicitis. But then later I got pain on left as well, but not as severe. My Colonoscopy 7 weeks ago showed a few divertic. The GI doc says I "don't match the picture" of classis diveritc and says mybe I have colitis? SO I am confused. YOu all who have been through this--could the alcohol have caused a problem? If so should I expect continually to have less pain and hope it gets better on its own?

The GI doc said he could scan me again-but I don't want the radiation. (I haven't talked to him about this flare up yet--I'm not that confident in him.)
ANy other tests out ther to help identify what is happening without radiation?

" No one has ever been able to tell me for sure but I do know that when I have several drinks for a few days in a row, I have flare-ups/pain. The problem is that alcohol is very acidic and hard on your intestines. Wine is least acidic, then beer and liquor is the worst. Someone on hear suggested putting lime or lemon in your beer as it cuts down on the acidity. I figure it can't hurt. Hope this helps! Donna "
